Interesting Windows hidden features

We are here again with some exciting Windows hidden features that you may (or may not) know. These secrets will make your machine look interesting or give you better ease of use.

Additional clocks

If you work with an internationally spread-out team, it is best to know their schedules and the appropriate times to contact them. The last thing you want to do is disturb their sleep with an urgent request or a discussion about a certain project.

To do this, you need to click on Start, go to Date and Time Settings, then choose additional clocks. You can set up two extra clocks running concurrently with your default clock. This will prove more useful for you in the long run.

Windows Spotlight

Windows Spotlight is the ever-changing wallpaper set up on your desktop that makes your computer look fancy. This feature can be easily enabled by going to Settings, then Personalization and Background. From there, you can choose Windows Spotlight on the dropdown menu.

Microsoft 365 shortcut

Did you know you can use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for free? These are readily available within the Microsoft 365 application. To get it up your screen instantly, press the Ctrl, Shift, Windows key, and Alt keys simultaneously. Nifty Windows hidden feature, ain’t it?

Additional Calculator options

The Calculator is now a Swiss knife of sorts, and rightfully so. It now contains other functions like Graphing, Programmer for coding, Date calculation, and a bunch of conversion information like Currency, Area, Energy, and more. These options are available by clicking on the hamburger menu within the app itself.

We hope that these Windows hidden features will help make your life easier. You can check out our blog page for more Windows-related articles and information. Red IT Solutions will keep on sharing more tips until then!
